The talk is, we feel, a unique opportunity to engage with reflections on the commandments to love God and love our neighbour in the Holy Land from a Rabbi, an Iman, and a priest.

The speakers are:

• Sheikh Ibrahim Mogra is a leading Iman in the United Kingdom. He is a lecturer and a member of the Muslim Council of Britain. He has travelled numerous times to the Holy Land many times as part of an inter-faith pilgrimage.

• Rabbi Natan Levy is Head of Operations for Faiths Forum for London. He was environmental liaison to the former Chief Rabbi, Lord Sacks, interfaith Consultant to the Board of Deputies of British Jews from 2013 to 2017, and a University Chaplain.

• Revd Dr Yazid Said, is an Anglican priest, from Nazareth. He currently lectures in Islam at Liverpool Hope University. He studied Classical Arabic and English Literature in Jerusalem, and Christian theology at the University of Cambridge.

We will also be joined by Rt Revd David Gillett, Interfaith Adviser for the Diocese of Norwich, who will conclude the discussions.

We have organised the discussion with our parish priest and rector, Revd David Longe.  David was chaplain to the Anglican Archbishop in Jerusalem, the Most Revd Suheil Dawani from 2015 to 2018, where he gained experience in inter-faith relationships and dialogue.  He became Rector of the Matlaske Benefice in 2018.

We thought this might be of interest to your community and we would be delighted to welcome any of you who would like to join us. The ticket costs £15 and includes traditional afternoon tea before the talks and drinks afterwards.  Any proceeds will be going towards helping young people and families in the Matlaske Benefice and charities selected by each speaker.
